Pack up the babies and grab the old ladies and evey one goes, 'cause evey one knows Brother Love's Show.

Believe it or not, Neil Diamond writes some pretty damn good songs. My favorite is Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show which I quoted in the title. Check out his website by clicking the title and find out why my pal Jace says Neil's was one of the best concerts he's ever seen.

"He opened AND clsoed with 'Come Into America'. It was awesome!-AJ

These are lyrics I wrote last night that I will soon have one of the guys in my band put some music to. Thought they were a decent first draft of lyrics. Hearing kind of a bluesy rockin' spiritual when I sing these words. Might be listening to too much of Bruce Springsteen's new album?!

Dying Breed

Where’s my mark, where’s camera one
Feedback in my earpiece, what’s that from
Practice my greeting, watch the lighting cue
‘Evening creation, how are you?’

I got a brand new suit, every hair is in place
Got sincerity frozen all over my face
Italian leather shoes and golden rings
Hanky for crying when the choir sings

Open the temple doors and let me come in
Stand those fallen tables back on end
Gather round I got an old old story to sell
Tonight I’m gonna tell you who’s going to hell

My shiny white smile is deceptively kind
But as long as you believe me than I don’t mind
Another gift I’ve been given for my important work
One of a dying breed of prophets put upon the earth

There’s a penalty to disbelief I’m here to say
But pray to me on your TV and you’ll be saved
Buy my CD and new DVD to teach you how to live
They both come free when you call me and give your gift

Open the temple doors and let me come in
Stand those fallen tables back on end
Gather round I got an old old story to sell
Tonight I’m gonna tell you who’s going to hell

Truth is long ago I wasn’t near this sure
I had questions like you do now
But life is harder when the answers are unclear
Every day there’s something to figure out
I got tired of the journey and all the gray I knew
I found a nice black/white place to rest
Where the stakes are high and the work is done for you
Life’s not a journey but a test

Open the temple doors and let me come in
Stand those fallen tables back on end
Gather round I got an old old story to sell
Tonight I’m gonna tell you who’s going to hell

Ten thousand here today and millions more at home
Each time I doubt, I figure they can’t all be wrong
I toss off my sandals and I close my mind
Step out to my mark, camera one to find
